Solid Foundations Build Strong Results
Doug is a senior financial manager with more than 17 years experience in the banking industry. He brings considerable experience with complex transactions, coordinating among investment bankers, internal and external accountants, and operations personnel to facilitate the successful completion of these projects. Doug also brings a history of working closely with the lines of business, ensuring understanding of the drivers of profitability and helping with product design.

Prior to joining Stone Pillar, Doug was a leading figure in the turnaround process of a $5 billion asset Midwestern bank, serving as the Corporate Treasurer and the Manager of Acquisitions & Divestitures. In this role, he was responsible for driving the sale of multiple sets of branches, funding, capital management, interest rate risk, profitability management, investment portfolio, and bank-owned life insurance functions to advance the turnaround process. Previously, Doug had been responsible for similar functions at a $50+ billion asset, including developing process for the institution’s first securitization program as well as coordinating purchase accounting adjustments for multiple acquisitions. Doug also held similar roles at a $20+ billion asset Midwestern bank and a $2+ billion asset Midwestern bank.


Doug is a CFA charterholder and received his Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration from Olivet Nazarene University.
